the reason for the fame and recognition of hadhrat shah sahib was his love of the truth and its simple presentation, which made the truth appear to be easy to understand and follow. he would speak of the truth with such simplicity and clarity, that everyone would be amazed at his insight and his deep understanding of the truth. even though he was not a scholar himself, he was the foremost authority on the science of hadith. even though he was a simple mujaddid, the seeker of truth, he was the foremost in this world of seekers. he has produced many books on the science of hadith, which are an invaluable source of knowledge and understanding of the science of hadith. he has done an immense amount of work in the field of hadith.
he, along with the other great scholars of his time, such as hadhrat shamsuddin tabrizi, not only taught the secrets of the science of hadith to the youth, but he also taught them how to write books on the science of hadith. he was not only the embodiment of the art of hadith, he was also a master in its science. mufti muhammad qasim naqvi says, 'the science of hadith is like the science of physics. hadhrat shah sahib was the embodiment of both of these sciences.'
molvi hafiz muhammad abdul qadir says, 'i have heard the khatir in arabic and persian with maulana shamsuddin tabrizi, in which hadhrat shah sahib mentioned the hadith science with the shahadat of maulana shamsuddin tabrizi as a proof. the same hasan is also mentioned in the 'akabir deoband kia they'. i also heard it with hadhrat abdul qadir gilani, and it was the same as hadhrat shah sahib's commentary on this book.'
